Yahoo Buys Indextools
Update: Yahoo plans to made IndexTools a free tool for existing clients and will roll out more opening for new users when the next version of Index tools comes out … (Google Analytics Watch Out!) ….
As first reported by Techcrunch, Yahoo has just acquired long time Web Analytics firm IndexTools.
I personally feel that this comes a bit late for Yahoo as Google Analyitcs is already being used by many websites today.
Just one week ago I got my Beta invite to adCenter Analytics - which in my opinion was a big flop.
Here is the statement released by Yahoo:

(Nasdaq:YHOO), a leading global Internet company, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Tensa Kft., more commonly known as IndexTools, a leading provider of Web analytics software for online marketing. The acquisition includes IndexTools’ Web analytics business and technology as well as its Tensa R&D Kft. subsidiary. Upon completion of the acquisition, the addition of the IndexTools’ assets is intended to expand Yahoo!’s powerful set of services designed to maximize its clients’ online marketing efforts…”
